Cracks in the ceiling, mold in the air
You looked away, like you didn’t care
Warnings came in, but you shut the door
While our children sat on that dirty floor
Teachers were coughing, parents cried out
Still no response, just silence and doubt
Funds were there, but you played your game
Now you’re pointing fingers, dodging the blame
You had one job, keep our children safe
Instead you gave us mold, lies, and disgrace
This ain’t politics, it’s right versus wrong
We’re standing up now, and we’re coming on strong
You broke the trust, but we’ve had enough
We want truth, not your cover-up
Thirty million spent, no bids, no plan
You signed off quick with a shaking hand
“I’d do it again,” that’s what you said
While families worry what’s inside their kid’s head
Air too thick to breathe, roofs that pour
Money missing, and contracts galore
We read the emails, we saw the signs
The real crime here is how you lied
You had one job, protect our schools
But you cashed in and broke the rules
This ain’t about red, this ain’t about blue
It’s about what you failed to do
No more spin, no more fear
We’re the voice you’re gonna hear
From Alamance to every town
It’s time to tear this failure down
We want audits, we want light
We want clean schools and leaders who fight
This is our stand, this is the line
You’ve wasted dollars and wasted time
But the parents rise, the people speak
Accountability is what we seek
You had one job, and you let it burn
But now it’s the people’s turn
No more silence, no more delay
We’re taking our schools back today
You failed the kids, now face the cost
